About Dr. Hovsepian
Dominic Hovsepian, MD, is a neurologist and epileptologist committed to improving the lives of people with neurologic conditions at South Valley Neurology in Morgan Hill, California. Dr. Hovsepian understands that living with neurologic symptoms can be extremely difficult, so he approaches every patient visit with empathy and compassion.
Dr. Hovsepian was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, and earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in mathematics, graduating with honors. After earning his medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City, he completed an internal medicine internship at the University of California, Irvine, and a neurology residency at UCLA. During his training, Dr. Hovsepian received awards for humanism and teaching, and was chosen to be Chief Resident in his final year of training.
Following his residency, Dr. Hovsepian pursued fellowship training in epilepsy and neurophysiology at Stanford University. He has written many articles about epilepsy, stroke, neuromuscular diseases, and genetic neurologic disorders in various medical journals, including The New England Journal of Medicine and Neurology.
Dr. Hovsepian’s expertise and specialized knowledge allows him to perform detailed physical exams, interpret specialized diagnostic tests, and implement safe, effective, and evidence-based treatment plans for his patients.
